NOTE FROM THE CRUSADER MONK:
Thank you for visiting my website.
I greatly respect all the craftsmen out there who do custom scabbards.
They are artisans of the highest caliber that create beautiful works of sword
art. However, for those of you who do not have time to wait on a lengthy
waiting list or pay premium prices for their work - Crusader Monk offers a
My scabbards are crafted by hand using vegetable tanned leather, kiln
dried poplar, and oil-based dyes. My two-part cores are carved to fit your
sword just as historical scabbards were, but by gluing seams instead of
stitching them and offering unlined scabbards - I have kept my costs very
If you want 100% historically accurate scabbard which looks like a perfect
work of art, then I suggest you contact one of the cutlers out there doing
such work - they are exceptionally good at what they do. However, if you
want a quality scabbard quickly to protect your sword which is something
that is durable, looks good, and makes a unique expression all purchased
at fair price - the Crusader Monk is for you!

RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS (Updated 12/16/2014)
CRUSADER MONK WILL SUSPENDING OPERATIONS INDEFINATELY
Effective 12/19/2014, Crusader Monk will no longer be taking commissions. A very positive change in my military contracting career, in addition to my
recent seperation and subsequent relocation of residence (as if moving 3 times in one month was not enough, how about 4!) - it just won't be feasible
to stay open any longer. I apologize to all of my customers for this - but such is the way of the Crusader Monk; I have to go on Crusade sometimes!
This is not a permanent measure, Crusader Monk will eventually return. I greatly apperciate your business over the years, and look forward to serving
you again in the future. In the meantime, I heartily recommend both Christian Fletcher and DBK Scabbards for your custom sword needs.
